Signing Day Q&A: Bryan Lane
Silver and Blue Sports sat down with Sacramento (Calif.) native Bryan Lane, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound linebacker in the 2011 class, prior to National Signing Day at his hometown Christian Brothers high school to ask him ten burning questions about his past, present and future with the Wolf Pack. Lane, who is another versatile and lengthy prospect in Nevada’s 2011 recruiting class, is one of the sharpest kids you’ll ever meet.

If you live in California’s central valley, play prep or JC football and have D-1 talent, there’s no question that Nevada’s ace recruiter Barry Sacks is going to find you. He’s proven that over and over again throughout the course of his career, scouring Sacramento and the central sections to find guys like Colin Kaepernick, Vai Taua and loads of other Pack greats. One of his top finds in the 2011 class is Bryson Keeton, a 6-foot-2, 188-pound cornerback and playmaker. Silver and Blue Sports takes a look at Keeton in this Signing Day Spotlight.
Shortly after we ran Teondray Caldwell’s initial senior highlight reel about a week before National Signing Day, we got one text from a colleague who simply described the Venice high school standout as a “Beastmaster”. That’s not a bad way to look at the dynamite 5-foot-9, 196-pound athlete from one of Southern California’s most popular towns. Caldwell can do a lot of things on the gridiron. Silver and Blue Sports takes a look at Caldwell in our Signing Day Spotlight.
We’ve been impressed with Anthony Knight from the first minute we popped in his highlight video on a DVD player in our Sacramento office. Knight reminds us in so many ways of former Nevada back and recently departed senior rusher Vai Taua, one of the greatest rushers in NCAA history, with his power rushing and speed combination. But how does the 6-foot-1, 225-pound back project at Nevada? Silver and Blue Sports takes a look at Knight in our Signing Day Spotlight.
Andrew Main, a 6-foot-3, 250-pound center prospect was the 2010 Sunset League Offensive Lineman of the Year, which is no slouch considering that there’s prep linemen headed to UCLA and USC in his conference. To say that Nevada may have found a gem is an understatement, as Main shows outstanding ability on film. Silver and Blue Sports spoke with the future member of “The Union” about his recruitment, his high school career and his road to Reno in this special Signing Day edition of “The Howl” inside.
Silver and Blue Sports sat down with the quarterback in Nevada’s 2011 recruiting class, Montana native Tanner Roderick, prior to National Signing Day to ask him ten burning questions about his past, present and future with the Wolf Pack. Over the years, Orange Lutheran high school in Orange County has produced some outstanding talent, including nearly double-digit high school All-Americans in the past decade alone. Nevada is hoping that they landed a future college All-American in Lorenzo Devers, a 6-foot, 234-pound linebacker from the program known to many as simply “O-Lu”. Silver and Blue Sports spoke with the future Nevada ‘backer about his recruitment, his high school career and his road to Reno in this special Signing Day edition of “The Howl” inside.

Looking for one of the top prizes in Nevada’s 2011 recruiting class? Try Kaiser high school product Desman Carter. A 6-foot-1, 200-pound safety is a flat-out winner who hits about as hard as any defensive back we saw in the ‘11 class. Carter has a great feel for the game, and brings both a strong discipline and great work ethic to the Wolf Pack program. Silver and Blue Sports spoke with the future Nevada safety about his recruitment, his high school career and his road to Reno in this special Signing Day edition of “The Howl” inside.
