- Randy Horton – Nevada DE – 2011 Freshman – 6′1, 232
- An offense that prides itself on being able to be physical, move defensive players around and block relentlessly for 4 quarters throughout an entire season picked up the perfect addition in Horton. Standing a solid 6-foot-4, 260-pounds, Horton, who is Freshman Transfer, is a monster blocker. He also has a passion to do the job.
- “They are exactly what I was looking for in a program,” Horton said about Nevada. “I was getting some looks from Oregon State and Boise, plus Arizona and Colorado, but Nevada was out in front from the beginning. They came along around week four of our season and then it really picked up around week eight, with transcripts and video. About a week ago they told me they wanted me to visit, so I went up and saw everything and it was great. They do pretty much everything that I love to do, and that’s block and get after it.”
- As his video shows, Horton played a number of positions for the Cougars. He lines up at tight end and fullback. Horton also lined up as COC’s H-Back at times, and even played some on the O-Line. He also continues to get bigger and stronger.
