Lenny Jones – Nevada LB – 2011 Freshman – 6′3, 239

- One of the biggest surprises in Nevada’s 2011 recruiting class was the addition of Clifton “Lenny” Jones, a huge 6-foot-3, 239-pound linebacker prospect who had an intriguing path to Reno.  Jones, who could also play with his hand down and develop at defensive end, sat out this past year and actually participated in 5 years of prep football.  But after finally sorting out his clearinghouse paperwork, Nevada, which had been recruiting Jones ever since his final year of high school, was in line to accept him as a mid-year freshman transfer.
- Jones, who prefers to be called “Lenny”, brings  a lot of speed and size to the Wolf pack defense.  He’s very strong and long, and the thing that really stands out about the former San Leandro prospect is that he doesn’t appear to be anywhere near 240.  He has great size, but he’s as fit as a fiddle.
