The Nevada Wolf Pack mounted a furious comeback late in the game against the Colorado State Rams, rallying from 28 points down to close within 7 points with just a little more than 4 minutes remaining in the game. A 63 yard touchdown that would've tied the game was called back on a very questionable offensive pass interference call.

Colorado State 31, Nevada 24

Poor execution and a slow start end up costing the Wolf Pack in their 31-24 defeat to the Colorado State Rams. It was a tale of two halves at Mackay Stadium as the Nevada Wolf Pack lost 31-24 to the visiting Colorado State Rams. “The difference was execution,” said Coach Brian Polian in his post-game press conference in front of the Reno media.

A great deal is on the line for both programs, Nevada would push its conference record to 2-0 and put itself in prime position to win the Western division title. Boise risks falling to 0-2 in conference.

Brats, Beers and Bullet Points, Week 5

Well, kids, the word of the day is "woof". That was -- with apologies to Johnny Cash -- one dirty old egg-suckin' dog of a win.
