I didn't realize the lancers played BYU......92-60
"They're a veteran group," Story said of Longwood's five-senior starting lineup. "They started hitting key shots and they never went away. They started hitting big shots with hands in their faces and just kept running their plays no matter what we did or how many times we scored on them or how much the crowd got into it. They just stayed poised, didn't turn the ball over and kept coming at us."
Sorry for the negativity, man I miss 2004-2007.

I won't be so sure to count us out. It is BYU's first time out on the road (USU excluded),so we will see how they do with travel being away from Utah.

The biggest thing, to me, is that BYU hasn't played anyone that can match Davies and Hartsock. Athletically, we can. Whether or not Dario and Czyz can outplay them, we'll see. We need them to play like the seniors they are.

The halftime scores of the PVA&M and LW games were very similar between BYU and Nevada. Nevada didn't step on their throats in the second half and BYU did. I doubt either team will be in the position to do any throat stepping on Friday.

To me, our guys just need to find their roles and fit them:
Dario doesn't need to be an offensive star. Honestly, we're much better if he focuses on being nasty on defense and hitting the boards. We don't need to run our offense through him or have him average 14 a game. He has no business shooting jumpers or making a living with his back to the basket. We need to him to attack the rim and focus on defense. Of course, we need him on the block on occasion, but that's just not his strength. He can give Davies all kinds of problems, but he has to be efficient.
Olek and Hartsock is an interesting match. Olek is superior athletically, Hartsock is much more skilled. If Olek plays smart, he can crowd Hartsock on defense and take him to the rim on offense. But he gets out of position a lot and giving Hartsock position or an open look is death.
Evans also has his hands full with Abouo. That should be a great matchup.
If we win two of those three, we win the game I think. Burton also seems a little lost on the floor sometimes. He seems to struggle at times balancing his distribution and creating good shots for himself. This game will be a great measuring stick.
