This means they will likely take SDSU. This will really hurt the MWC, I hope it survives.
But the MWC would then consist of:

Colorado State
Fresno State
Hawaii
Nevada
New Mexico
UNLV
Wyoming

And Hawaii is football only. At this point I wouldn't mind seeing the league focus on basketball by adding USU, UTEP, and maybe Tulsa.

CUSA schools cost too much, they have a higher buy out than the Big East.

They may eventually be able to exit for much less depending on how the courts rule in the WV-Big East case. They would be able to use the "failed to maintain a certain level of competition."

This is a good move on BYU's part. They would have been stupid to give up tv rights.

Not that it would be a great situation but why isn't the AD putting our name out to the Big East?

I wonder this to. We could get back in the Big West for olympic sports, but at 13K fans a game all is lost.

You're right, but I'd bet that attendance would improve. Plus the University would have more money with the TV contract and be able to make some improvements to the stadium i.e. better seating!

Thats true, but right now its a crapshoot depending on the BCS also travel costs would be up the wazoo and UNLV may be a little angry because they influenced the Mountain west to invite Nevada.

Why do you say that? The Cal State system is in dire need of money and would most likely approve anything that would help lessen SDSU's state financial dependency.

Realignment will be moot when the aq status is no more - probably why this big east thing will fail. Actually, might be funny to see Boise locked into an expensive BE affiliation, when the BE no longer has an auto bid. Classic backfire
