Just wanted to drop in and say hello to all of you. I've watched a few of your games over the past few seasons and am intrigued by the Pistol offense. I'm excited to get to see it in person in the Hawaii Bowl!
If you are looking for the SMU message board, the most active one is at http://www.ponyfans.com. We also have boards on Rivals and Scout, but to be honest, they lack the traffic that PonyFans gets.
One of the PonyFans webmasters made a bowl wallpaper for your computer that you may be interested in. It's a Wolf Pack helmet and a Mustang helmet on the beach. Link: http://www.ponyfans.com/bowl09.jpg

We look forward to facing June again! He had our number the last couple of years we played him, and statistically we have a terrible passing D. A stat you might find interesting is Nevada is a little over 600 yards shy of the all-time season rushing mark set by Oklahoma in 71. Howevere, Luke Lippencott broke his toe in our last game, so we will be without 1 of our 3 1000 yard rushers from this season. Mike Ball is the most likely replacement. The only game he had a legitimate amount of carries in(filling in for the then injured Vai Taua), he had 185 yards and 5 TD's. We look forward to continue chasing that rushing mark! If we get it, it would mean Nevada would have all 5 of the top rushing performances this year, as well as break the all-time yards per carry record for a team of 7.55. We haven't played a CUSA team since we eked out the 2007 Hawaii Bowl over UCF I think.

The way our run defense has played, you may get the 600 yards you need to break the record (only a slight exaggeration)!
We started the season with a sophomore, Bo Levi Mitchell, at QB. He had a strong arm, but was lacking in accuracy and "quarterback know-how." He injured his shoulder (in a Sam Bradford-esque sort of manner) in the Houston game, and since then we have been led by Kyle Padron, a true freshman. We are 4-1 in Padron's starts, with the lone loss coming against Marshall (who pretty much ran the ball down our throats the entire game en route to a 34-31 win).
I have to say that I am absolutely terrified to see us go up against a team that has run the ball as well as you all have this year.
