Well, we get to face our old friend June Jones on his old stomping grounds. I'm torn on this one. I think it's a good matchup, but part of me thinks we should have been selected to Boise with the #1 pick as opposed to Idaho. I'm also disappointed because I won't get to go now.
Yea, there is no way I can go now. So who will the hawaiins root for?

Ault's reaction via Twitter (http://twitter.com/NevadaFootball)...
"We're pleased to be heading to the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl. Of all of the bowl options, this was our first choice."
"No question, the Hawai`i Bowl has always been one of the tradition bowl games, one that a lot of people clamor to get to."
"It is a special thrill to spend a Christmas break there. It was one of the class bowl games."
"There are a lot of things that are kids have to take responsibility for this week. This is a very important week with finals starting."
"I am really proud of this football team. There have been some adversities this season and we were struggling to find our identity."
"I’m proud of the players and the coaching staff. It’s been a good year and we want to make it a great year."

Anyone find it ironic that he says "are kids" within the same quote of the importance of finals?

IIRC, most of the reading I've done on the Hawaii message board would indicate that there is no love lost for June Jones on the islands. I think they took his leaving and the manner of his leaving as a stab in the back. However, it is completely possible that the fans on that message board are not indicative of the general mood of the typical UH fan.

He turned their program around and took them to the Sugar Bowl -- how mad can they be?
Their old AD was the guy who screwed the pooch and chased him away.
