I think its funny that the RGJ attempts to comment about recruiting. There were at least two glaring errors (I am sure that AWP can point out further), but I know that the Lark Kid signed w/ NCST and they also have the kid from liberty who I believe AWP said we lost to USC.

Most papers across the country don't really blanket recruiting, and that's understandable since they deal with the local high school sports scene. And with Nevada in particular, since none of the national networks have much of a presence on the West Coast and no one that cares whatsoever about Nevada recruiting, you can't really rely on them for info.

Remember, the networks have annually ranked Nevada's recruiting efforts dead last, or in the final 4-5 spots each year.

Anyway, with regards to Lark, I mentioned this in another thread that there's plenty of confusion out there. He is a kid from Dallas, Texas originally, and one of Nevada's two Texas recruiters was talking to him over a year ago. He's actually a pretty talented kid who could play DB or LB.

However, those are pretty much the only two facts with Lark. He has to be offered by the Pack, nor has he visited. He is a long-shot academically too. I'm sure if he puts together a strong semester at the prep school he is currently at in Maine he might get a trip to Nevada after the Bowl game, but that's all up in the air.

Temple is committed to USC, and I expect Nevada to make a run at him down the stretch, but it'll be tough. Some of those kids simply visited Nevada; a lot of them have yet to be offered.

Hey I am new to this site as I follow the LSU and Florida site. Is Murray and Lark Committed. I have bee checking around and it says that he will be enrolling in December. Also what are some other big time recruits that they can possibly land? Do they need a running back?
