Actually great news. I see that Hooters is opening back up here in town. The only drawback is that it is opening at Baldini's.

I have only been once and was thoroughly unimpressed with the food and the talent. That was in Boise though.

I've only been once up here, but I liked Hooters more than I though I would. But it will never match the old Chili Bordello on Mill Street back in the day. For you youngsters out there it was located in what is now the Bertha Miranda's (and before that the Washoe Zephyr I think?) on Mill and the employees wore lingerie while serving their many varieties of chili.

Danged if I can remember if the chili was any good. :p

It was the Chili Bordello not the Pedobear Bordello!

That was probably 20+ years ago. In the days when Bailywick's was considered fine dining (and for me it certainly was).

I remember the place but I don't remember ever going.

Then again, it's more than possible I did go and that the brain cells responsible for those memories were murdered long ago.

What a concept! I think the chili wasn't quite good enough to overcome the slack-jawed state of the male patrons or the righteous indignation of the previously unsuspecting female patrons....blood pressure was up on both sides of the gender front, but for different reasons.

The chef tried to shock us out of our stupor by serving the chili in cantaloupe halves....which was a little weird and pretty much missed the mark.
