Off the top of my head Lampford Mark needs 214 yards and Mike Ball needs 299 to get to 500, which might be a cherry on top of the three 1,000 yard rushers.

I smell a big game, and with no more games to look forward to, why not use the national spot light to pour on some points? Are any more records in danger?

can anyone believe we've only attempted 8 FG's all season and only made 5? To put that in perspective, didn't Bironas make 8 in one game?

We were tied for the fewest in the nation for a while there.

Records I'm aware of:

Player to Pass for 2,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in consecutive seasons. Colin needs 125 yards passing to become the second ever to accomplish it.

Yards per carry for a season: If the Pack carries the ball 45 times (about average this season) they'll need gain 374 yards for an average of 8.31 yards per carry to break the record set in 1945. More carries would mean slightly fewer yards per carry, fewer carries would require more yards per carry.

I assume that would put Colin in line to be the first person to do it 3 years in a row as well? The ypc record would be the best record of them all. Mike Ball is avg 10 ypc, maybe losing Vai won't be such a bad thing after all.

Some more Colin numbers:

Colin needs 125 pass yards to get to 2,000 / 1,000 for the second consecutive year and needs 101 to get to 7,000 career. Needs 218 yards total offense to get to 10,000 career. Needs 117 rush to get to 3,000 for career. Needs 1 running TD to get to 40 for his career. Needs 3 scoring TD's and 1 passing to get to 20/20 on the season.

In the WAC, the record for TD's scored by a QB in a season is 19. Colin needs 2 to tie. That would also be the most ever points in a season by a Nevada player (Lemon114) and would tie most ever TD's in a season by a Nevada player (Lemon 19).

Honestly he could do some really cool stuff next year but it will take a huge game today to help make most of that be realistic. I sort of think that SMU will key on him and I could see Lampford and Mike having monster days. And I think those guys are good enough to get that team record. And just to add a cherry on top, I'm hearing that freshman Stefphon Jefferson is absolutely blowing people away in practice and there isn't anyone who's a lock to start next year.

I really don't care what records and stats anyone gets as long as it's a W.

Heck even if Vai was allowed to play next year, I always felt the job would be wide open given how Nevada and Mastro like to create competition.

I normally would agree on just getting the W but this game seems different to me. There's nothing goal wise that can be accomplished except for stats and meaningful records. If you asked me which I rather have, a W, or Colin getting all his numbers and the YPC crown...I would have to say the records lol.

No way. Can't have another bowl loss. Those important game losses are starting to form a dark cloud over his head in the eyes of the NFL. Can't happen again.

If we have a freaking ridiculous game on the ground, like 650+ yards, we'll be right there for the all-time single season rushing record I believe.

The scary thing is, that looks like an insane number until you realize Nevada has already topped 500 yards more than once this season.

Yeah, we probably won't get THE rushing mark, but the one I really want is the YPC mark.

But W > Records. I want 9-4.
