Tonopah High School (Nevada) Senior Place Kicker/Punter Denver Otteson has received an official invitation to play in the 2010 Offense Defense High School All-American Bowl on Jan 2nd, 2010 in Myrtle Beach SC. He also will play in Max Emfinger’s 2010 High School All-American Bowl Classic in Austin, TX January 9th, 2010.
The Offense-Defense All-American Bowl will take place on January 2, 2010 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. The game will match the top 40 players from the West against the top 40 players in the East. The game is the only national all-star game that will be broadcast live on Fox College Sports on January 2nd at 2pm.
The 6th Annual 2010 High School All-American Bowl Game will be played Jan. 9th at 4pm at Palace Stadium in Austin TX. The game includes Players are from 36 different States including five from Hawaii and one is from Canada!
Otteson was 64 of 69 on PAT’s and 7 of 11 on Field goals on his carrier (47 yard long) and a punt average of 41.91. He also scored 373 points and had 4298 yards in total offense (2756 rushing, 1005 passing, 537 receiving) and on defense he had 341 tackles (161 solo) in his carrier. He also was named the top high school kicker at the Max Zendejas Western States kicking camp last summer in Mesa AZ.
Denver is the only participant from Nevada in these national all-star games.
