I'm not saying Benson handled this well, but don't forget he was essentially lied to by Fresno and Nevada when they pledged they would stay in the WAC, and then abruptly bailed. He was making agreements based on what the schools had promised him, and then was left with egg on his face as they turned on him and left.

Have to disagree with you. Nevada and Fresno didn't "pledge" anything, other than to pay a fee if they left. Which they are doing, from what I understand. If they agreed to pay and didn't, that would be a different kettle of fish. But they're abiding by the contract they signed.

WTF are you talking about? Nevada REFUSED to sign the pledge which should have indicated to Benson they would not be boxed into a corner by a foolish commish in over his head.

Well, I hope we can just get this done with and move on to the Mtn. I'm glad I'm not a alum of Idaho, NMSU, San Jose State, Utah State, La Tech, or Hawaii (for many reasons), today would be pretty bleak.
