That's funny. I was watching Cash Cab last night (great show!) as I prepared dinner and wondered why they hadn't franchised the show in a different city or if they were thinking of doing so. I ended up deciding that it didn't make much sense to move it elsewhere as New York is cab central and people in one big city riding in a cab aren't likely to be much different than people in another big US city. Vegas makes sense, though, as it's really the only other city in the US where you're likely to find a vastly different (from NYC) clientele to put on TV. I don't think Vegas is going to come off looking smarter, though you have to believe that most of the fares are going to be vacationers. Maybe I should read that link now.

I've watched the show off and on for years and I can't say New Yorkers came across as overly intelligent. It's too easy most of the time. But having it in LV could be hilarious.

I actually stumbled across the CC:LV through a Vegas News site, which had a clip showing Oscar Goodman as a contestant.
