So, I know we have the bowl game, basketball Christmas tourney, and football recruiting, but I have a basketball recruiting question. The wolfpack have been linked to at least three non high school prospects: olek, remi dibo, a prep player, and Maymon out of Marquette. While I am realistic to realize that we wont sign all three, does this show a change in recruiting philosophies to bring in transfers, jucos, and prep players rather than high school players? Fox usually had 1-2 per season; Bell, charlo, kramer, shaw, story, ect. Will we see more transfers, prep, juco, foreign ect with Carter at the helm, and will this ultimately help us move back to where we want to be as an annual top 25/tournament team, more efficiently then high school players.

Could be looking at all 3 for the same scholarship spot.

I think it is more of a short term solution to the attrition that has taken place over the last few seasons. We lost a ton of talent for varying reasons, and this is a short term solution to that. I would expect Carter to start his build with transfers, and JUCO players, but only because he has to allow time for high school players to develop. I think we have some sleepers from the high school ranks, but they will take some time to develop, and the key is not allowing them to get in over thier head and struggle. The more that happens the more they get down on themselves

You dont turn away talent... no matter what form it comes in.

I dont think we are changing how we recruit. I think we are just taking the chance of adding talent to this team, especially since we are in need of talent. So, if you have the chance to add talent you add it!

I for one want to see how basketball recruiting will work out. All we have heard for sometime is how Carter, Gates, and Brown can bring in the talent. I know it's only been a short time, but really want to see what they can do.

I have heard that we are recruiting LB Franklin and Jordan Gathers a point guard and shooting guard from Southern Caifornia. KC Ross Miller also didn't sign early so he will wait and is a point guard, so Carter is looking for a guard.
