As a guy who has just successfully adopted a child from the foster care system, let me tell you there are some really sick undeserving parents out there. We inquired about a number of kids before choosing the one we got. We got to see many of their bios and some of the things they had been subjected to. It makes you sick thinking somebody could do things like this to children. Cigarette burns, sexual abuse, starvation, etc. A kid we passed on is going to be a real handful for the rest of his life for what he's been thru. Sorry to say it, but this kid will probably be a monster through no fault of his own.
