Did the price of water rise $1 a bottle from Thursday night to last night? I thought I was paying $2.50, so two were $5, now it's $7 for two. To Lawlors credit, it was darn fine water, even without the bottle caps. I didn't purchase anything else, did all items they sell go up?

They some how have not figured a way to purchase new lids for the large drinks. They are pushing 6-weeks +/- since the first game at Lawlor and still have not purchased them. I don't think a lid for a $7.50 drink is too much to ask. Perhaps they are too busy working with NASA and trying to send a man to the moon again and haven't had time to place this simple order.

The concession stand outside of section 22 always seems to be out of "Jumbo" and "Polish" dogs ... when you do get them ... luke warm... :(

And, while I'm at it ... I drove by the front of Lawlor last night and noticed red tape and barriers across almost all the stairs ... is that a temporary thing because of ice (I cant imagine a south facing stairway would still have a lot of ice on it) ...or are they in bad repair and need replacing ( a victim of budget deficits) ... either way it definately looks pretty shabby.

It's been 3.50 as far as I can remember this year for water.

And yeah, those stairs are roped off because they haven't cleared them of ice yet.

Well, I guess I'm the new short change artist at Lawlor. I didn't look at the prices last Thursday, just asked for two waters, gave him my five dollars, he took my money, removed the bottle caps and I left I wonder if that tactic works for beer?

New to posting long time viewer! I say that S&B Sells official licensed bottle caps and we use them at each game. I even thought about saving caps and selling them at Lawlor :)

Yeah, concessions continue to suck at Lawlor; some of - no, actually THE worst - I've ever seen at a large, supposedly big-time, arena.

They seem pretty typical to me. Not great, not horrible. Just somewhere in the middle.

They seem to have done away with the kegs at the stands. Instead, they have gone completely to bottles, which they pour into cups. The end result if a less-then-full cup of beer for 7.50. This is a some what unsatisfying experience because with the kegs you'd get a full cup for your $$$$.

I keep trying to think of something nice to say about the concessions but it is tough. The folks behind the counters are nice - there you go! I don't like to be always complaining but the trouble is that you inevitably compare to other venues. In my case I go to my son's BB games (high school) and get a better hot dog and bigger drink for half the price! And they did raise prices on items this year at Lawlor, which I can understand, but no improvement in quality. $4 for popcorn has passed up some theatres! I don't mind paying but $$$ for death-by plastic cheese nachos is no way to treat the fans!
