Do people really have a hard time undertsanding we are a consumer driven economy and when we don't consume at a higher pace every month things will slow down?

and by they I mean "Government"! We have shown that we will spend when we can. Let us keep more of our own money and we will infuse it into the economy. Don't get me wrong, I am not one of those "No taxes at all" people. I understand we needs roads, police, fire, etc. Too many people get handouts and freebies. Who pays for those? I'll tell you who does: those who actually contribute to society. Quit giving to those that do nothing but take. I'm sorry but stop squeezing out kids you can't afford. Let the earners keep their earnings. It's a pretty simple concept.

This prolonged recession has boiled down to two things people buying too much house for how much they make and then filling it with overpriced luxury items on credit cards. I remember being in Mortgages and looking for starter homes with two jet ski's on the side and and Excursion to tow it. I knew there was a good chance he needed a cash out refi. sooner or later that crap had to stop and our economy was playing that game for a very long time.
