East Wash is playing tough

The press isn't working. Once the first level is breeched EastWash has free reign on the boards. Guards need to get better at getting back into position.

They said we took eight 3s, I can only remember three. Wierd.... I usually keep good track of that stat. Anyways, I was hoping by halftime our victory would seem a little more certain so I could go to bed, but I think I better stay tuned.

Hopefully SIS comes on and post the stats...but AJ should have some decent assist numbers. Defense is abysmal.

The pass Armon had to Brandon was nice. Yeah, Armon is passing well tonight...

Glad we a pulling ahead again after the half... 46-39 now... here are the stats, but they don't post well like they did on the previous board.
Armon has lots of assists, like that. But we need him to score too. He should be able to score at will. Luke is carrying us.

I don't know...EastWash is playing extremely well with the players they have. Great offensive playcalling on their part.

i understand that but it would have been nice to see a blow out...i mean we were a 18 point favorite. I guess that's why they play the games, let's just get a win

I'm losing it! I forgot about the game while watching the NFL game. WTF.
Terrible D by the Pack if you look at the stats. Bad teams should not be shooting 50% from the field.

Brandon fields for threeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great call at the end to design the play for Brandon. I don't think anybody inside of Lawlor expected that except for the five guys in white on the court who knew what was coming. I think everyone thought it was going to Luke, but instead he was the decoy to get Fields wide open.
On a play like this, you have to examine it regardless of the outcome of the shot. Either it was a good decision or a bad decision, irregardless whether or not the shot is made or missed. By shooting the three, it pretty much seals the game if he makes it. If he misses it, then the worst that happens is overtime (most likely). Plus, by putting the ball in Brandon's hands, especially when nobody expected it will be a huge confidence boost and will pay dividends down the road. The "safe" call was to give Luke the final shot. If he misses, nobody questions it. But if Fields takes the final shot and misses, the reporters are asking questions. So it's a gutsy decision too on Carter's part.
Great call...even if Fields had missed it, it was still a great play. But it's even better that he made it :D

Those of us there watching have to admit EWU didn't look like the bottom-feeder of the Big Sky, now whether that was because Nevada let them look good, or whether they just had a great night who knows? They have some small, but very, very quick guards and forwards, and Nevada is susceptible to getting burned by quickness. But, they couldn't stop Luke in the paint (only Luke stopped Luke, continuing to shoot those fade aways that clang off the front rim as he tires).
