John passed away May 12, 2010 from a heart attack doing his favorite pastime, handball. He was 83. John came to Reno in 1946 from Penn. to play football for ***. He became a lifelong educator in Reno teaching at Central Jr. High, Sparks HS where he was the longtime football coach there, a VP at Reed HS, and finished his career as Sports Director for Washoe County School District.
Survived by wife Joanne, five children, 27 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.
Wonderful man, deeply devoted to his family, church and community. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
