Some of those guys could be good gets for UNLV. However, I think a big concern, which was brought up a few times, would them leaving for a better job within a few years at UNLV.

The odds of Coach Ault coaching UNLV are ONLY 1,000:1? A little generous, me thinks!

+1 absolutely agree, but the big problem is is he's been the biggest bolter of them all, he gets offered anything he takes it, exactly what I HATE in a college coach...

He's also 58. Even so...UNLV shouldn't complain. If they can at least get someone to build the foundation they'll be in good shape.

Heck, a bowl game is almost a once in a lifetime thing for UNLV fans, depending on how old they are.

As far as who could be the next coach, I think Johns is an interesting name. I don't think it'll be a guy like Franchione or Koetter; I don't like the way they went out out of their last jobs.

The name I've heard very strongly being mentioned is not on the list. For well over a week now, the name has been John L. Smith, the former Michigan State head coach.

I definitely believe he'll be the next head coach at UNLV.
