I don'get the striker award simply because Kap has been left out.... what gives?

Scuffyr explained it away pretty well on the old clunker board. This I beleive is the Scuffy that played lineman for the Pack during the Tis years?

I remember the explanation, but it doesn't add up since Kap has put together multiple games with very few errors.

If my recollection is correct, it has to be 3 consecutive games grading out at a certain level. I don't know about you, but I can't find three consecutive games where he probably graded out at an exceptional level.

I think you have to grade out 3 games in a row at 90% or better. For the Qb this is hard, one missed read at the line or on a pass, is huge. I am not sure what the average number of offensive plays per game is, but I would imagine it's not huge, so one or 2 and you don't leave a whole lot of margin for error. Compound that by what we see as a good read because it becomes a positive play could actually be a bad read and we were lucky to get anything out of it.

If you assume 65 plays per game, and if you assume that the QB gets a grade on each one, then he could make 6 errors to stay within 90%, assuming each play is graded Pass/Fail.

For someone that is involved in every single offensive snap and has a high bar to aim for, I'm not surprised if the QB doesn't win it.

The post from earlier said that if the QB misses a read he gets 0 for that play so one missed read drops the grade too low to qualify. So I don't think it's a pass/fail grade on each play.

Just give him the stryker award already!

it is an interesting topic and begs the question "Has there ever been a qb who did win the stryker award?"
