There are some interesting selections of Nevada players in the poll.

You can also vote for the volleyball team. I don't see a basketball poll up yet.

Particularly in the WR list. No Burleson or even Mitchell? Kaleb Spencer was a good WR, but I'm surprised to see him on this list and not the other two.

Yeah, I was just about to mention Burleson. At first I thought maybe he didn't play when Nevada was in the WAC, but I guess he did since he played with Kretschmer and he's on the list. What a huge oversight! Burleson might of been the #1 receiver.
Also they have Zabransky at QB and I didn't think he was so good. They should of at least put Rowe on as well.

The DB from NMSU, Davon House, I think is really good and should have been included.

Burleson played two years in the WAC, IIRC. It's hard not to pick Kretschmer with the numbers he put up there.....he was such a beast and even after his injury, he was still so productive. It would be a big honor to be #2 behind L.T.!

I emailed someone at the WAC about Burleson and got this reply...
"We used the criteria that a player must have made the first or second all-WAC teams in two separate seasons. Burleson was a first-team player in 2002, but did not make any other teams during his career at Nevada in the WAC. There are many other worthy candidates that also did not make the ballot due to being on just one all-WAC team, but we had to make a decision to limit the ballot using the criteria above."
I'm surprised he was all-WAC only one year. Was that because Insley was still playing his junior year, or all the plays going to Kretschmer?
BTW, there is an instant poll at the bottom of the WAC main page for the all-Decade QB. Kaep is currently in 2nd place, well behind Colt Brennan.

I think it should probably be David Carr, but that's not how I voted.

Almost certainly. Burleson had only one season to shine as the star as I recall - and shine he did.
