I thought we played much better. Carter played everyone and he did a good job of putting in different player combinations. The crowd was decent considering the weather. Patrick the freshman is getting some good playing time and I will be looking forward to see the 6 foot 9 inch Douglas high kid out there. Johnson and Babbit are special players and it's great they are playing here. I am very optimistic this team will contend for the WAC title.

South Dakota State was quite possibly the worst division 1 basketball team ive ever seen. Not suprising for a team making the transition to the top level of college hoops but its hard to draw many conclusions about the Pack based on tonights game.

The starters looked pretty good. Fields had a great game. He made a lot of stupid decisions, but the shots were falling anyway. I guess this isn't news to anyone, but the backups were downright awful in my opinion. They don't have much experience and the season is young so hopefully they will improve....

Well i think thats why Carter left them in. This was a good oppurtunity to get them some minutes without having any of the starters their to catch them. I think Cukic though is improving game by game, and so is Giles.

Actually according to RPI South Dakota State is ranked above Houston(Im sure that will change), and above the next 2 teams we play. The beat Wyoming who destroyed Boise.

They beat Wyoming by 16pts in Laramie. Purdue only beat them by 21pts and Boston College beat them by 17pts. Even Pomeroy ranks them higher than our next two opponents.
But, yes, they were bad.
