..... that make me cringe:
"This kind of stuff is why I check rgj.com nearly everyday! I just can't find this amount of wolfpack recruiting information anywhere online myself. Thanks Chris for keeping all of us PACK B-Ball fans as up to date as possible."
K. Elf updates us on B-ball recruting (http://www.rgj.com/section/blogs16?plckController=Blog&plckBlogPage=BlogViewPost&U=cf54a7c3-6850-4148-9710-effa04ad5005&plckPostId=Blog%3acf54a7c3-6850-4148-9710-effa04ad5005Post%3aaee4ead3-1003-443a-94a1-5107bce5e3ec&plckScript=blogScript&plckElementId=blogDest)

Many people do not know this site exists. In looking at the replies it is actually a great opportunity to let people know. They are not blocking the site name in the comments, and I am sure that will get some traffic here.

If you search for "Nevada Wolf Pack Message Board"
Bing: you don't find S&B until the second entry on the second page. If you search for "Nevada Wolf Pack Recruiting" this site comes up under the link "wolfpackchat" as the third result on the second page.
Google: For "Nevada Wolf Pack Message Board" Silver and Blue Sports is the first result on the second page. "Nevada Wolf Pack Recruiting" - Silver and Blue Sports is the third result on the first page.
Yahoo: "Nevada Wolf Pack Message Board" - S&B is the second to last result on the first page. We don't even show up in the first 5 pages for "Nevada Wolf Pack Recruiting".
MSN: Second search result on the second page for both searches.
It would be helpful for the site to find a way to boost those numbers.

There's ways you can play with the search engines to make sure when a user types in the key words "Nevada Wolf Pack forums" or "Wolf Pack football" etc.. it can appear higher up on the list. I'm sure there's a geek or IT specialist around here that would gladly offer their time...for the sake of the Pack.

Well as a geek and an IT Specialist... which really has nothing to do with being a webmaster... I know there's different ways to get your site to the top of the list.
Here's some Google specifics:
1. Paid ads
2. Get lots of hits
3. Have other sites that have links to the site. (when pages are crawled they take nots of all the links.
Those were the ways to get a higher page ranking. They might have changed.

Improving that isn't very hard to do. I studied the whole search engine website design thing for a couple of years when I was trying to get my own website traffic up. I'll let Mark, Brad and AWP know how that can be fixed.

It seems like Good Ol Keebler deleted any post mentioning our site. Guess he can't stand the competition.

This new site should really help with the organic growth as the stories are listed more as a blog. Now it a matter of keys words showing up in those blogs. It has been talked about a number of times before I have to believe the guys are hard at work. It takes time to see movement in rank.
For those interested in more info - this site gives some low hanging fruit to make some initial changes: www.grader.com (http://www.grader.com/)
On a snowy weekend, some of you might also want to check out their personality grader (http://personality.grader.com/).

With the front end being Wordpress that should help a lot. I assume they have it setup for optimal SEO capabilities with the setting and plugins, but if not I once again will offer to help make sure that is done.
