Anyone following this story? A Hamas official thought to be responsible for kidnapping Israeli soldiers long ago and now involved in weapons procurement was assassinated in his Dubai hotel room (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/dubai/7250217/Dubai-Hamas-assassination-Irish-citizens-not-involved-Ireland-says.html) last month. He'd only been in Dubai for 5 hours and was traveling under an assumed name.
What makes the story exceptional is the evidence collected. In the linked article you can see passport photos of some members of what looks to be a team of 10 agents/assassins. The passports are turning out to be fake. Within hours after the murder all 10 had left Dubai for destinations all over Europe and Hong Kong.
Here's a short video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s37TP_glnU4&feature=player_embedded) from Al Jazeera, but go HERE (http://www.breitbart.tv/dubai-police-release-video-account-of-intricate-assassination/) for the longer video that has a time line using hotel videos that show the participants changing hotels, wearing disguises, surveillance teams and the actual assassins.
Very interesting espionage stuff.

Yes, I am following this with quite some intrigue. It looks another job well done by Mossad.

Usually they are cleaner than this. The British look like they are going to push hard on Israel. The US can't say much as we're using missiles to blow up similar guys - plus we don't have near the anti Israel (or pro Palestinian) sentiment in this country that you'll find in Great Britain. I'm on the Israeli side, but it's a lot tougher to get away with this stuff with all the video surveillance around nowadays. They should be more careful. Still, it's a very interesting set of developments. Especially since it appears they stole the identity of other Jews to create passports for the team.

Kudos for them hitting him in Dubai as opposed to a place like Lebanon or Syria. All hell probably would have broken loose. Personally makes me wonder what the hell he was doing in Dubai when the UAE claims to be on our side. The guy should have had a security team of his own that could prevent something like this.

Using a false name yet having a security team might not go together. Somebody on his side probably had to rat him out for Israel to know he would be there ahead of time.

Arrests were all ready made in Syria. I hope there is a weak link in Al-Qaeda that is coming for us soon.

I'd say there is something much worse than waterboarding in his immediate future.

Interesting stuff. Isreal can be pretty hardcore at those kinds of things.
This brings to mind the time my dad went to England on travel to meet with the Brits on some secret military hardware his group was working on for the Navy in CA. This was back in the 70's during the cold war. Anyway, after the meeting he had the secret docs in a briefcase and he had to actually sleep with them in his bed....they couldn't be out of his hands at all. In the morning he delivered them to the US Embassay to be flown back to the US via military. He obviously couldn't tell us what it was, but maybe he can now. I should ask. :) He was working on missile systems back then, so it was probably related to that.

And now the suspect list climes to 26... the "case" keeps building. I'm hoping some cable channels runs a 30 - 60 minute "investigation" and breaks this all down. It would be really interesting to see it all unfold.

I've been following this story with great interest. It definitely has all the hallmarks of a Mossad operation, despite the fact that they ended up all over security cameras. Now, as the number of suspects climbs, fingers get pointed here and there, I have to wonder if the Israeli's aren't on a misinformation campaign to muddy the waters.

It seems too poorly done to be Mossad now that I see everything. I am beginning to think it was done from within Hamas, or somebody is trying to get it to look like Mossad.
