Hey everyone.
Just wanted to pop on and say hello. Wondering: how many of you are making the trip to Hawaii?
I've seen some decent Nevada/SMU games when we were both members of the WAC, but I confess I've got to visit your site more often to learn more about the 2009 version of the Pack.
If you're interested in learning about SMU, I invite you over to the best SMU fans site on the web: www.PonyFans.com.
Thanks for indulging me. Look forward to meeting several of you in Hawaii.

I know lots of family members of the team are making the trip, and VERY excited to not be going somewhere cold. Wish I could go but the fambly would drag me behind the jalopy for leaving them on Christmas Eve.
Can't say I know a lot about the 2009 version of the Mustangs, other than you've got a pretty good freshman QB and a coach who looks oddly familiar, I'll be doing my homework. :D
Thanks for stopping by Ponyfan!

Here's a name for you all to research: Margus Hunt. He is from Estonia and came to SMU to train with the track coach - he's a world-class discus thrower/shot putter. June Jones saw this 6'8" 270 lb behemoth of a man walking around on campus and asked him to come out for football. Well, Margus had never played football before this season, but his physical gifts have allowed him to block 7 kicks so far this year - the NCAA record is 8.
Interesting note: In Estonian, "Hunt" means "Wolf."

So how is everyone feeling about the June Jones hire? Seems like he has done pretty well so far.

He's recruiting well, and right now he's winning ugly, but at least he's winning. That's something we aren't used to around these parts - yet.
