- It didn’t take long for Kaiser high school defensive back Desman Carter to realize that Nevada was the program for him. During his first official visit the 6-foot-1, 200-pound safety star from one of the Inland Empire’s top schools saw how he could come in and compete immediately for Wolf Pack defensive coordinator Andy Buh.
- “Yes, I really like Nevada,” Carter said.  “The school itself really stood out to me, because I want to go to school for Criminal Justice. They have a good Criminal Justice program. I also like the program.  Everyone gets along and its like a brotherhood.  They all believe and everybody wants to win.”
- Carter is a quick, strong and physical player who loves to come up and play the run.  He definitely loves to hit, as his video below shows.  Carter might have have been one of the most underrated prospects in Southern California’s 2011 prep class.  He projects as Nevada’s potential strong safety of the future, with juniors Duke Williams and Dean Faddis manning the position right now.
