The Nevada Wolf Pack is becoming downright selfish.
“It’s not enough for us to share the WAC title,” defensive tackle Brett Roy said this week. “We want it by ourselves. We don’t want to share it with anyone.”
Lampford Mark never took his eyes off the prize.
“It took me five years to get here,” said Mark, who has been named the Nevada Wolf Pack’s starting running back for the remainder of the season by head coach Chris Ault. “It just nice to see all the hard work pay off.”
This was the moment Mason Magleby had been waiting for all week.
“I’ve been telling teammates and coaches all week that it was going to work,” the Nevada Wolf Pack’s third-string quarterback said after Saturday night‘s 42-28 Pack victory over the Hawaii Warriors at Mackay Stadium.
Nevada extended its winning streak to 5 games and improved its conference record to 4-0 as they defeated Hawaii 42-28 at Mackay Stadium. Silver and Blue Sports photographer Mark Rauh captured some great action shots from Nevada’s victory over Hawaii.
There are times when I think that Chris Ault must feel like Ray Kinsella. Thrice, he had put his shoulder to the wheel and built, then re-built, then re-re-built, the [...]
There is something magical, mystical, mythical and even mysterious about Mackay Stadium.
“It’s our coliseum, our home, our heaven,” Nevada Wolf Pack defensive tackle Brett Roy said this week as the Wolf Pack prepared to host Hawaii on Saturday night (7:15 p.m., ESPNU television, 630-AM radio).
It is also where visiting teams’ dreams come to die.
James-Michael Johnson and Brandon Marshall go together like silver and blue, like wolf and pack, like, well, a left hook and a right uppercut. “They are always side by side, on the field, on the sideline, off the field,” said Nevada Wolf Pack defensive coordinator Andy Buh of his two senior linebackers. “You rarely see one [...]
Yesterday, our own Joe Santoro invited us to celebrate with him on the 20th anniversary of what he aptly termed “The Original Miracle at Mackay” – when the Pack overcame an unprecedented 35-point second half deficit to remain unbeaten. Some of you had never heard of this game; others vaguely recall hearing about it. [...]
Chris Vargas trotted onto the field for the first time with a mere 64 seconds to go in the first half. He sort of felt like the guy sent in to clean up a crime scene after all the bodies were hauled away.
“At first I was thinking, ‘This definitely was really colossal,’” the Nevada Wolf [...]
