The Nevada Wolf Pack football team’s seniors do not plan on walking out of Mackay Stadium on Saturday afternoon a loser in their final game at the stadium up on north Virginia Street.

Mack Brown once defended the bowl system as a way of rewarding teams and fans for successful seasons.  Tell that to Scott Daniel, whose projections have “rewarded” teams with bowl games in places like Boise, Detroit, Mobile and Fort Worth…

Tray Session’s patience has definitely been tested as a Nevada Wolf Pack wide receiver the past four seasons.
“There were times when I was down and frustrated,” the Wolf Pack senior said Monday afternoon. “But I’m here for the program. I’m not here just for myself. As long as I contribute to the program I’m happy.”

It will take a while before Chris Ault forgets what took place on Saturday afternoon at Mackay Stadium.
“That game on Saturday was as frustrating as any game I’ve been involved with,” said Ault, who has coached the Wolf Pack for 327 games (225 victories) over 27 seasons. “It was just unacceptable.”

In one of the most stunning late game collapses in recent memory, the Wolf Pack football team fell to Louisiana Tech at home and missed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the hunt for the WAC title. Silver and Blue Sports photographer Mark Rauh was on hand to record the action.

“We still have a chance to be champions,” head coach Chris Ault said after a stunning 24-20 loss to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.
