After posting a 49-24 victory in their home opener to start to the 2010 football season, Nevada head coach Chris Ault, plus seniors Colin Kaepernick, Virgil Green and Ryan Coulson all spoke to the media about what went right and what needs to be worked on.

New year, but in many ways this was the same bruising Wolf Pack football team.  It was another massive offensive football night for Nevada as they piled up 550 yards of total offense and scored seven touchdowns to beat visiting Eastern Washington 49-24 at Mackay Stadium in the opener for both teams.

Thanks to the experience on special teams, with sophomore Mike Ball returning and explosive junior Rishard Matthews ready to burst on the scene, there were plenty of pregame predictions about how the Pack was likely to snap a nearly decade long drought of scoreless special team returns.

Spring Practice is long gone.  Fall Ball came and went.  A handful of practices are over.  Now it is kickoff time.  The Wolf Pack return to Mackay Stadium for the first time since mid-November, when they blew out Fresno State 52-14 and scored an astonishing seven rushing touchdowns.

Senior running back Vai Taua is poised for another monster season in the Wolf Pack backfield.  Nevada’s leading rusher the past two seasons, SilverandBlueSports spoke caught up with Taua in our latest video from practice.
