Listen to The Howl: Showtime!
SilverandBlueSports weekly podcast, entitled “The Howl”, is back with another edition for Wolf Pack fans. It’s been an interesting off-season to say the least, with the constantly shifting landscape of college football dominating the conversation, you might have forgotten that there’s some football to be played in just a little less than 2 days time. But not for the players and coaches.
The last time the Nevada Wolf Pack football team walked onto the field, it left with a bitter tasting loss to SMU in the Hawai’i Bowl. A game most Pack fans won’t soon forget, and neither will the players and coaches. It is a game that Nevada Assistant Coach Jim Mastro called “the most disappointing game in his 21 years of coaching.” There is little doubt that it’s been a motivating factor for this team in the off season. It will not define this team.
This is a proud Wolf Pack football team with a lot of veterans looking to erase a bitter memory and committed to achieving the goal of winning a WAC championship. “13-0″ was the goal Coach Mastro set back in early June. First up is the Eastern Washington Eagles from the Big Sky. A.W. Prince and Mark Littlefield are with us tonight to break down the Eagles and give us some insight into how the Nevada depth chart is shaping up.
