Armon Johnson: A Retrospective
So Armon Johnson, the Reno native and explosive Nevada point guard who led the Pack the past three seasons in assists made the decision to forgo his senior year and try his fortunes in the NBA. He left many Wolf Pack fans with a ton of memories, most of which SilverandBlueSports photographer Brandon Russell caught over the past two seasons.
Johnson finished his Nevada career ranked fourth in all-time assists with 445, and he became just the sixth player in school history to score at least 1,000 points and and pass for 250 assists. He concluded his excellent career ranked ninth in all-time scoring at Nevada with 1,441 points, starting 99 times and averaging 14.3 points, 4.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds.
Johnson was the 2008 WAC Freshman of the Year and earned first-team all-conference honors as a sophomore.
