From the Sideline: LA Tech-Nevada Slideshow
March Madness officially gets started on Thursday for the Pack, as the quarterfinals of the WAC Tournament get underway starting at noon. However, Nevada capped off a solid 14-1 regular season home record by beating Louisiana Tech 79-68. The SilverandBlueSports photographer team of Brandon Russell and Mark Rauh caught all the action.
It was a sensational night to be a Nevada fan, as the Pack ended their season on a high note, topping eventual WAC No. 3 and No. 4 seeds in New Mexico State and Louisiana Tech on the final weekend to earn the No. 2 overall seed in the WAC Tournament. With this year’s tournament in Reno, the buzz is certainly in full-swing.
The game against the Bulldogs was even more special Nevada, as the Pack celebrated the career’s of seniors Brandon Fields, Joey Shaw and Ray Kraemer, plus medically retired former Pack player Richie Phillips.
